Consumers may be wondering if there is a difference between HDMI Cables and regular HD cables. Both of them give an HD output. The average consumer may not see the need to bombard themselves with this kind of tedious nonsense. It’s not nonsense, however, for the savvy technical person that has a few tricks up their sleeves.

The real reason that HDMI cables are better is because they are simplified. It’s one cable that supports both video and audio. Consumers that do not have to worry about buying any types of add-ons or converters. This is a port that is available on many new televisions. It’s an easy plug and play type of deal.

HDMI cables are also better buys because they are becoming the standard in new technology. Consumers want video players that stream media. Portable players are starting to overshadow all of the DVD players that are on the market. Most of these portable players support HDMI cables and nothing else. This means that the HDMI cable is becoming the standard that most media will be delivered through. HDMI has been catching on at a very fast rate. Few people would trade their HDMI cable for regular HD.
